Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood, just a few blocks off Michigan Ave, close to shopping, buses, and not far from trains. The rooms had everything a traveler wants but had a funny smell to them. The service was excellent overall, especially the night staff who went above and beyond, although there was one unfriendly staff member. Dining options were varied and delicious, including the Colombian coffee, but parking required additional payment each time. The hotel offers great facilities, and the location is one of the best in Chicago.
The hotel is like a mini-apartment with a queen bed, dresser, large closet, and a TV. I found the room to be comfortable, but it was absolutely freezing cold at times. The staff lined up a special ride to the airport for me the next morning, and they were really friendly and courteous. The location, just behind Hancock Tower, is perfect to enjoy Chicago Downtown. The dining offered easy-fix suppers and Greek traditional products. Overall, it was a good stay, but there were some simple fixes needed in the room.
The hotel offers a spacious and decently clean room, though the bed was extremely hard. The service was extra friendly and helpful with local suggestions. The location is near popular tourist spots and walking distance to dining and shopping. The dining experience mainly includes coffee but there are nearby options. Overall, a reasonable value for the great location.
The hotel's location is ideal, close to the magnificent mile and restaurants, and it is conveniently close to the beach and John Hancock. Despite ongoing facade work in May 2019, the stay was comfortable and clean. Self-catering options were appreciated although the noise from the compressor unit and lack of cushioning were drawbacks.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, but the bed was uncomfortably hard. The service was hit or miss, with some staff being very helpful, while others were unpleasant. The location was convenient, close to public transportation and popular attractions. The dining options were decent, with a tasty breakfast spot nearby.
The suite on the 6th floor was really very lovely, nice but not luxury. The rooms were small and had crumbling plaster on the walls and ceiling, which was a downside. The service was amazing and very helpful but failed to ask about payment options upfront. The location was perfect, with easy access to buses, the train, and activities; having a kitchen helped keep costs down. Dining options were varied, including tasty breakfast nearby at Wild Berry. Facilities were on point, with a lovely view from off the lobby area.
The hotel's rooms were reasonably clean but not spick-and-span, featuring a kitchenette that enhanced our stay while having the same tubs. However, it was very loud due to a window unit. The service worked to correct issues promptly, though major upkeep is needed. The location is perfect to enjoy Chicago Downtown, being very close to major shopping and restaurants in the Windy City. Dining options are limited, with a highlight on Rush St for steak sliders. The facilities are satisfactory, providing a decent experience overall.
My stay at the hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The location was excellent, close to Navy Pier and Michigan Mile, which made it convenient for exploring the city. However, the rooms felt a little run down with exposed wall chunks from where the sprinkler was put in, a sticky and damaged fridge seal, and slightly damaged furniture. The service was a blend of slow and rude when faced with issues of our electronic room key not working, but on the flip side, the staff was prompt and very helpful when we needed fresh linens. The dining experience was convenient with a fully equipped kitchen in the room, allowing for some flexibility in meals, although having to pay for parking each time was a bit of a hassle. The facilities were decent overall, but the smelly hallway brought me back to the first apartment I ever rented, which wasn't the most pleasant memory.
The hotel is in a great location just blocks off the Magnificent Mile, near the John Hancock building and Water Tower Place. The rooms, though terribly dirty and old, feel like an apartment with a small kitchen. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, making the stay pleasant. The dining options were varied, but some seemed not worth the money. The facilities were adequate, providing a basic experience.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was amazing, perfect for exploring downtown Chicago, but the rooms were dirty and had a strong smell. The service was lacking, with some staff being rude, but others were quite personable. The dining options were convenient, but the cost for parking was a downside.
The hotel is superbly located in the fancy Magnificent Mile, just two blocks from Michigan Avenue and the John Hancock Centre, offering easy access to all the shops and great city views. However, the room I stayed in reeked like an ashtray despite having all windows wide open in the dead of winter when I arrived late at night. The shower was slow to drain and filled with water during use, which was a bit inconvenient.
The hotel exceeded my expectations in all aspects for downtown Chicago and the tour bus. The rooms were fresh smelling and very clean but lacked an AC unit. The staff were friendly and helpful, but it took some effort to get an invoice. The location was ideal for exploring downtown Chicago and nearby attractions. The dining options were satisfactory, with a highlight at Gibson's on Rush St The facilities were good overall.
The hotel rooms were very spacious and comfortable with well-equipped kitchens but appeared smaller in person. However, there were issues with cleanliness and smell in the rooms, as well as a lack of control over heating and air conditioning, leading to having to open windows without screens.
The hotel had a terrible odor throughout, the rooms were disgustingly small and didn't offer control over heating or air conditioning, forcing me to keep windows open without screens. The tubs in the rooms were the same, adding to the disappointment. The only positive was the ideal location for exploring tourist attractions, but that alone doesn't make up for the shortcomings.
I found the hotel to be a mixed bag. The rooms, while nice based on the internet impression, had some drawbacks like the chilly draft blowing directly on the bed by the windows. The service, especially from the younger man at the front desk and Milton, was really helpful, although some small portable heaters would have been appreciated. The location was perfect for longer stays with easy access to various sightseeing spots, but the staff interaction and cleanliness issues of the hotel carpet were a downside. The dining experience was clearly lacking in variety, with no offerings of any kind. While the hotel had potential, there were definitely areas for improvement.
